I’m having trouble with Itunes (yeah - i know - what a rarity).
I am currently running version 9.02.05. Some time back I installed some software fronm Steinberg - Cubase AI4 or 5 - which is a digital audio workstation. I was using it to interface with a Yamaha KX61 Midi Controller. The software has recording capability plus came with a lot of different midi voices and so on. Since that time - I have lost the ability to burn CDs out of Itunes - Initially, I think I got an error message to the effect that Itunes was detecting other recording software and was disabling the burn function. Now, when I open Itunes, it tells me Itunes was not installed properly and I can’t burn CDs. It instructs me to reinstall Itunes - which I have attempted numerous times with no success. I have gotten various messages - mostly that the install encountered problems, and to try again. Today - I uninstalled all the Steinberg and Yamaha software/drivers and so on, and attempted to reinstall Itunes - hoping taking the other software away would resolve my trouble … But NOOOOOOOOOOOO … I downloaded the new version 10 whatever for 64 bit, but when I go to install it, I get an error message telling me my “J” drive is an invalid location. True - I have no J drive, and perhaps that has been an external hard drive I have used before, which is not now connected. I didn’t instruct Itunes to use the J drive, I think, but I’ve messed a lot trying to get this problem taken care of … WTF?? Makes me wish I had gotten a droid instead of an Ipod more and more. Help anyone??
