Feel help: My friend is so ugly, I don’t know what to do with her! - Help.com

It’s not about what people look like, she’s probably not ugly at all and people can’t help what they look like so you’re being really mean and selfish… If she has no problem with what she looks like and is happy then you should be too, your a crappy friend if you just want to ditch her because of your own superficial status

Well I understand that you’ve come here to try to seek help and not be judged, so I will withhold any judgmental remarks like that.

What I will do is inquire about whether you have spoken to her about your feelings. If you get so much attention, have you ever thought about maybe helping her out? Can you teach her makeup or shading techniques to play down her nose and bring out her better features? Have you offered her any advice or tried to bring up that she smells? There ARE ways that you can do it tactfully and offer her some sound advice. Also, maybe she doesn’t have the self-confidence needed to attract attention at clubs. Maybe you can help her work on finding that confidence as well. Maybe make-overs and a shopping spree are in order! :)

Finally, I will add just as a point of reflection, that perhaps it is not so important to be worried about what other people think. If you really like hanging around this friend, then keep it up. But you’re doing her a disservice if you’re noticing problems or holding this kind of tension and not at least giving her a chance to work things out with you. Moreover, we should not live our lives worrying about what others think. If you like her as a person and friend, let these people know of her good traits and why you like her. Maybe they’ll be curious and want to get to know her better.

EVERYBODY needs a friend. There was a kid in high school that my friend always hung around with. Anyway, this kid was obnoxious and he was ugly too. One day I asked my friend why he was friends with this kid. His answer still has a deep impact on my life. He told me, “Because nobody else will.” I believe the measure of a truly good person is being able to see past imperfections and raise other people up.

I have friends. Real friends don’t call their other friends ugly, real friends don’t care what other thinks, no matter how you sit here and criticize me and justify yourself you are still a despicable person and in the end I guarantee when you grow up you’ll end up with NO friends
