Why do some employers get away with bullying?

The old boys(now forming into Girls) network holds true even today. In such cases if all appropriate steps are taken safe guard an employees integrity i.e. logging all incidents, reporting incidents to HR/Union, Industrial tribunals then the individual should feel confident that they have done everything in their power to rectify the situation.

If the collective work force would stand up and be counted in such scenarios to add weight to the case, the big cheese employers would not stand a chance, but alas it would appear it is every man for himself in such things.

Employment, is a relationship which by its own deinition means, I pay you you do what I say. It not frar from Owner/Slave Master/Serf, dominance/submission.

This sort of arrangement has worked for some time, but it is flawed. The employer can not always be relied upon to organise things in the best way. for either party.

Those of use who chose not to be submissive and hence do not get employment, that is those of us who have our own buisness, soon find that if you are good at something then, you need help, so you end up employing people.

Then I find myself constantly “bullying” to get things done, now I am down to one employee and I realise that my whole life has been organised around getting work for these other people, and that, for the past seven years at least he has been paid at twice what I get, and I have built up debt on top of that.

Emplyment law dictates that if I want to lay him off then I have to borrow $10000 and get in more debt.

The master is the slave, I have seen it time and time again, it is a ying yang thing.

Possesions possess.

The answer it would appear is afforded by technolgy, in that this allows for better communication between people to organise themselves in a group responsibility with common ownership.

I went to a free school I was educated for equality, however O find that in every way that I try to work in an equality based way, everyone else has been bought up and educated to heirachy, and they such cant see any other way.

This is why when the rebels become the leaders they are often just as bad.

This is solveable but it requires an amount of self discpline.

Adorno suggests that the authoitarian personality is both dominant and submissive, and postions themselves in the heirachy.

For this reason I have as little sympathy for the submissive as i have for the dominant.

Liberate yourself, do not blame others you are your own destiny.
