I just started a new job at a really great company..

When I had my application sign up and all, I thought I was going to be put into a different work group.. I have 2 years experience in that company, and now i’m doing work that’s not even as high up on the ladder as i was before.. (when i started) I’m in a shipping and receiving group.. which is just physically over whelming. I can’t handle it.. I’m already depressed about going to work after only my first day. I’m on the border of crying right now. I just don’t know what to do.

it’s not as easy as that.. I haven’t been with the company for about 3 years now.. so my old job isn’t available. Although I would love it.. I’m not much of a fit person, I’m rather skinny, and have a difficult time doing manual labor.. I’ve always relied on my intelligence for what ever job I had at the time. Now it’s like, just common mindless work and it’s driving me insane. Yeah sure.. I’m learning how shipping and receiving works in our building, but.. that really has nothing to do with what I should be doing.. I need to find a way out of this position.. I really doubt I can last a week after being this drained after only the first day.

Be glad you still have a job. Most companies are downsizing and asking their employees to produce more. They want the same production from fewer workers… welcome to the global economy. Are you ready to start competing with people who are used to making $500 a year? That is what it is coming to.

Day before yesterday Obama signed a bill to let Mexican truckers deliver goods in America. Their fuel is subsidized by their government… ours is taxed through the roof. Plus they are used to living in third world conditions with no running water and electricity that comes and goes with 12 other people in the house. I guess our truck drivers will live like that or go bankrupt. Same difference…

Money and materialistic garbage isn’t worth hating life. I hate this world and how it works. *sigh* I’m in the same building with available slots in the position I was looking for.. I’m so pissed off.
