Stuck in Florida

My cousin had me come down to Florida after I lost my condo she told me that she would give me a place to stay, help me get a job where she worked and save money, but she didn’t. While I was staying with her she asked me to help clean up yard, when I finished the yard work the kicked me out and I was staying in a veterans shelter. There are no jobs down here and I am falling behind in the payments on the storage unit in New jersey that all my stuff is in and I am afraid that I am going to lose everything I own. I found about 60 jobs up in New York and New Jersey and if I didn’t listen to my a cousin and stayed in a veteran’s shelter in New Jersey I could have had a job and have a new home.

This is the hardest part of this e-mail for me. I need help. I didn’t want to burden you with this, but my own family will not help me at all. I tried all the charities around here that I was sent to and got no help. I need help for gas to drive back to New Jersey to get one of the 60 or so jobs that I applied for.

There isn’t a single person you know that could lend you $60 to take a bus-ride up to NJ? I mean, all you have to do is get there. I’m sure that they have veteran shelters up there or something similar. I mean, once you get there, you can still pay on your storage unit in FL until you get the money to get all of your stuff together.

Once you start your job, you might be able to get a pay advance to help you set up, or take a job with a sign-on bonus…

Otherwise, maybe you can hit up Taco Bell for a month and get enough to get you going. There has to be some solution. Next time, keep at least $1000 in savings to keep you going and don’t let it dip below that unless absolutely necessary.
