I wonder why you need help with a dissertation or thesis if you are working on a master’s or Ph.D….you should have completed enough research in your classes, working toward those goals of master’s or Ph.D to come up with a pretty good thesis on your own.

But I do agree with Anon. Free HIGH QUALITY education is great for an economy and a nation, but not great for many who are in charge, as they don’t want their citizens to be thoughtful.

Fair enough.

Good idea

But, in the course of your studies in working toward a master’s and a Ph.D., you will have many research oppotrunities and will surely find something that “fits” and would make a good thesis/dissertation

You could also extend your thesis (for your master’s degree) and fine tune it to make it your dissertation (for your Ph.D.)

If it’s all original research/original ideas, then there is no problem in using the same topic for both degrees. One is, obviously, much more intense and will involve original research/testing (Ph.D.)

I’m in the field of education.

My thesis was on an area in mathematics for fourth graders. It’s long and drawn out, as you can imagine. It was and still is something that I feel strongly about, so I researched it and did a thesis. However, in addition to a thesis, I had to take a comprehensive exam that covered everything I have learned in the past couple of years. It was essay style. Each question was a five page essay. :p

I find out on Thursday if I passed and if so, I graduate in May with my MAT

My husband has an MBA and he said to tell you that often in business, you don’t have to do a thesis

LOL. Good luck, though. As long as you have a goal in mind, you are better off than many people.

And when it gets tough: remember to learn for the sake of learning; enjoy your classes and actually learn from them/take them to heart and pour yourself into it. Then it won’t feel quite as “forced.”
