If you just got out of a psych ward they should have helped you with methods for this, as well as possibly therapy.

Exercise, journaling, talking to people, surfing the web (especially help.com), hanging out w/ friends, sleeping, watching comedies, etc

no, you need to stick at what they’ve taught you!! It takes hard work and dedication to consistently work on yourself to recover. If you’ve just got out, then you havent had enough time to fully apply the techniques they have taught you and see the benefits.
this is a process, not an event remember. it wont happen overnight, so just keep chugging away.
