Its gonna be some reading and scanning through.. but I found this site and it seems to have really good ideas :) there are a lot of neat ideas that I wouldnt have ever thought of… good luck! That sounds cool to have an indoor pond

Possibly Portland cement. I think you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes for $3.50 a bag (60 pound). Just mix it up and spread it out how you want it. Then you can paint it if you like.

But beside all that: Take care of the humidity. It can mount into the whole house and generate mold!

You can use 40 mil rubber which comes in rolls of 10 X 50 or 20 X 50 if you need more they also come in 100′ rolls. Hope this helps :-)

I’d be worrying about mould growing.
How long does he intend to keep it there?

It should have a special and deep moisture proofing to the upper stories …

Yup, but i wouldn’t attempt that in my house. Once you get mould, it is sooooo hard to get rid of. It’s not worth the risk of losing the investment, in my opinion.
