Hey, I’m just posting some poetry for some general feedback.
Don’t mid a bit of constructive criticism :) thanks
I watch him as he lays there,
My father
So small in that hospital bed.
In ten years not a day spent,
together,
Still memories crowd my head.
On the hard plastic chairs in
that side room,
I watch as he draws his last breath,
Not one tear do I let fall
even then,
My shame, the only thing left.
I walk back to the carpark
without him,
My thunderous heart in my ears,
Grief, like a shroud draws around
me, spiked with
regret for those wasted years
