I’m new here and I posted anonymously before creating an account.

Now I can’t find my original post and it won’t let me repost it anonymously or not. Am I looking in the right places? I’ve tried tags, keywords, and parts of the post. I posted it about 3 or so hours ago. What gives?

Well even in anonymous you have to use your email so it makes an account for your email. That way you can find your post. Go to my posts under public profile

It’s only showing this one. When I reentered the text it says something like “this post looks like a previous post” and it will only let me update the preview. Maybe I will have to log off and log on again to see it. Thank you for your help.

The first sentence is “I am frustrated and would like some advice please.” Some of the tags were mourning, internet, apartment…? I’m just frustrated with my life right now. Like this helps, lol.

If you reply to that post then you’ll be ’subscribed’ to and and will get notices if anyone replies.

Something that might help you is to click Browse All Posts botton at the bottom of the page and begin to look through the posts. The ones you visited are a different color than the ones you have not visited.

It’s gone, I looked through all the posts for today and can’t find it. It was a bit embarrassing, that’s why I posted anonymously. But, I did come here for help, so here is my original post…

I am frustrated and would like some advice, please. This all started in Feb when my main computer caught a nasty virus. I tried for over a week to fix it because I need it for online classes. I finally got it fixed when my beloved cat got sick. He had chronic kidney failure and died a week after diagnosis. He was my best friend and I have been mourning him and I’m depressed. I let things slide like homework, housework, diet and exercise. Next the pipe under our bathtub began to leak, and now we have to inform the person below us before we can take a bath or else her apartment floods. The landlord still hasn’t come over to fix it in almost two months. Now, because of the mess, the ant colony I was fighting has exploded and the little buggars are everywhere. Then the main computer began to bog down again, so I took it to a pro. I had to reset it back to factory defaults losing my precious music collection because it wouldn’t save. My USB internet is too slow to upload all the updates (117) so I tried to have cable internet installed. They couldn’t because they didn’t have permission from the owner to drill into the wall, so I had to reschedule. Then we discovered my husband may have kidney issues as a complication of uncontrolled diabetes. I discovered I also have a low thyroid which will require medication. We’ve lived in this dump for over a decade and want to move but we are too poor. I have been out of work for over a year and my hubby only works part time. I can’t find a job in my chosen field, because they depend on state budgets, so I will have to see if I can find a crap job that I was going to college to avoid. Some days I’m okay and just plow through it, but most days I am so angry and frustrated with all of this all I can do is cry. My husband is frustrated too, but he just shuts down and is no help. I’ve applied for state aid so we can move into decent housing, but I haven’t heard anything. It’s like one crappy thing after another and I don’t know what to do. We can’t move, my husband won’t take care of his diet, I’m behind in my classes, I’m paranoid about the health of my other older cat, I can’t take a bath when she’s not home, my computer is still messed up, while the ants aren’t harmful-watching them creep about annoys the heck out of me, and mostly I miss my friend. He wouldn’t have solved anything, but he made me feel happy when the poo hit the fan. Now I’m alone and there’s poo everywhere and I feel like I’m the only one who can do anything about it. Comments, advice, help? Thank you.

I didn’t find it. Sorry. If a moderator were online maybe they could. Who knows.

Writing can help, if you can be patient enough to write, whether others read it or not. Even writing over and over and over can help. Most of the problems I’ve really tried to get help with here I ended up solving myself just by rewriting so many times in my attempt to make a post. Want to practice being even more patient and write it all out again here?

Ah ha, I think I figured it out! I tried to post it here and it said “reply waiting for approval.” I did use a nicer word for “stool” so maybe they were both flagged for bad language. I thought it was pretty “G” rated, lol.

Huh, yeah, that’s a lot of p00. I don’t have any ideas right off other than to suggest you check out http://www.211.org/ to get connected to available local non-emergency helpers.

Wow. If you could just add flunking school, self-harm, a meth addiction, and infatuation with your best friend, you could become the official poster child for help.com.

That’s a lot of little problems and a couple of big ones that add up to a lot of frustration. The ant problem is the icing on the cake. I used to have these buggers at work and they drove me crazy. I would use post-it notes to kill them so I wouldn’t have to continually spray poison in my work space.

As for the water leak, complain loudly and frequently, and remind the landlord that it’s probably causing damage that will be much more expensive to fix than the leak itself. Complain enough and he will fix it just to shut you up. He should also be using an exterminator to get rid of the ants. Maybe an envelope full of dead ants would illustrate the point more effectively than a phone call.

There’s a member here named Blest who just lost his cat friend of many years. You should commiserate if you can find his profile.

The job battle is a tough one. I’ve been fighting that one for a long time too.

I use a program to convert all of my itunes music to mp3’s, and I back them up on a USB drive, so I can share them with my family and so a computer crash won’t take down my library. Another alternative is to find songs you like on youtube and use http://www.video2mp3.net// to save them as mp3 files.

I know it’s hard to motivate yourself, but exercise and eating healthy will do more to boost your mental health and immune system than just about anything.

Just know that you’re not alone, and there should be several of us here at the asylum anytime you want to talk.

Thank you all for your advice, I am feeling a bit better now. Sometimes the frustration just gets to you. I appreciate you all trying to help me. It’s good to know I’m not alone.:)Btw, the drain is fixed, I’m killing off the ants (it seems so at least), and I am slowly rebuilding my music collection, so it’s getting better.
