I am wondering about my patchy facial hair.

Basically, when I was younger I did the horrible mistake of waxing off my facial hair because I got bored of shaving it. Now, I’m deeply regretting it, because my mustache and hair is growing patchily. How can I solve this, as I’d like a full beard now… :/.
