Well, I feel bad for them, but frankly it would be easier for them to make a buck or two if they just went out on the street like everyone else and begged.

actually this site is desighned for people who need help unfortunatly theres not to much help in that area. but maybe some people on help has been in a simular situation and over come it and may be able to help this person that’s what this site is about
Make me wiser, please tell us all what help should be restricted on a help website.

Some of us don’t BEGG for $$. Which would be nice to get that handed to us but we know people wont do that. Some us work full time, raise children singlely and do not get child support and have to do everything ourselves making minimum wage. We cant get assistance because we make too much getting paid little so we need help and don’t know where else to go. Yes, some of us also tried to get a college education to get a better job but it is not as easy as some may think. If wou were ever in this type of situation you would know how it feels.

We all need money. I can’t even get a personal loan to pay bills and get extra things for my son (He will be 4 and dont even have a bed or dresser). I am trying to go back to school for online classes that i can do in my spare time to make more $$ for me and my son and i get a run around. If you know of where i may go to get extra $$, work at home’s that are LEGITIMATE and don’t charge a arm and leg, schooling that will work with me and is ACCREDITED anything to make me a better mother, person and be able to stand on my own two feet. Sooner or later i would like to be able to get a HOUSE of my own and stop renting a trailer that the heat is going out the windows, walls and doorways would be great and HUGE step for me and my son. Thank you Thepp.

Hi there.
You asked what did I do in the same situation. I thought very carefully about the situation I was in, and what I could do about it. Obviously earning enough money to get out of it, was all I could come up with.I then went and picked up empty drink cans and sold them to the scrap merchant, looked for untidy gardens and asked the owners if they needed them weeded or looking after. Cleaned windows, did anything I could to to earn as much as I could. It takes a lot of effort. I then used only as much of the money as was needed to keep us. The rest of it was saved up. Eventualy we were able to move to a better place to live. I didn’t at this stage try to involve my self in going to colledge.
I think you will get the idea of what I am explaining.
The next step is for you to think very carefully about what I ask you to do.

I think alot of people come here because they are so flusterated with trying to get loans or help and getting scammed out of time and money…finally they resort to ” begging” and just plain hope some body will help them out… I know if I ever came into a lump sum first thing I’d do is set up a free legal clinic… for the poor or people who have money but after all their deductions can’t afford good legal advice or help… I see all the time how people lose in court cause they don’t have any legal advice or rep..then I’d also set up a fund for heating costs.. they piddly amount the goverment gives to low income people is a joke for a heating season… people spend one year trying to catch up for the last year… the government needs to wake up and realize the that not all it’s people are living good like the Sen and Rep.. many many are struggling and they need hope… thanks for letting me vent…

I like what Thepp is doing when he gives people advice (which is what we’re supposed to be doing, anyway) about how to get out of their financial problems instead of ignoring them or making fun of them. It’s true: there are some people who come on here pretending to be in need of money just so they can get “quick cash”. But sometimes the “begging” you see is a genuine call for help. I would rather give advice to someone who doesn’t need it than to ignore someone who does.
unless you are in a possition to hand out money,or have a way to help them,now,then you are of little help to hem,soi dont have the answers for them and would be of no help to them,i would be wasting there time and mine,but i will surely send the all to dancerlynn
If they are so unfortunate and have no money, why dont they just sell their computer for some extra cash? Obviously they all have one if they can post a message on here and keep track of the forum. I believe desparate times call for desparate measures and if I had no money to feed my kid, I’d sell everything I own including my soul just to make sure they dont go to bed hungry for another night.
I told one woman to sell her computer! She didn’t like it. What gets me is how they figure we’re going to get them the money.
I believe everyone should live within their means. If you can’t afford to pay cash for it, You can’t afford it!! The only debt you should have is a house mortgage. Save as much as you can, even if it is $5 per week. Stop trying to keep up with the Jones’. Just because they have a plasma tv, doesn’t mean to say you need one. 9 times out of 10 the average person that seems to have everything, usually owns nothing because they have financed the stuff the have.
Hear hear. I fell into that trap, and wanted someone to ’save’ me. No one did, I had to save my own a$$, start from scratch with my credit, and finally live within my means. It was a brutal lesson alot of people seem to have to learn, but I’m SOOoooo glad I learned it. Now we’re on a cash only basis, and only used a credit card for one bill monthly (which we pay off immediatly) just to built up our credit again. We also have more, and are doing way better than when we were making more money, but paying credit card debt up to our eyebrows. Oce we changed the way we were thinking (i.e. that there’s not enough, and we had to have whatever the neighbors had) our money situation got better, and keeps getting better. We’re not independantly wealthy, but we can pay for everything we need, and even have some left for wants. But boy, what a spanking we had to take to get here.
I tend to keep my mouth shut in situations like this because I don’t want to start a war on this site but I can’t keep my mouth shut this time. This site is call HELP.com. Who is anyone on to say that someone can or cannot post something? If you don’t like reading a post about someone asking for money, THEN DON’T. You know, you always have that option. Alot of people come on here looking for money help and someone of them know that they aren’t going to get it. They might just be at their last straw and when they send that post out to us, there might just be one person among us that just has the answer that person is looking for. I am not saying that the answer will be ethe big lump sum of money but maybe someone will know a website that could help. Or they know which government agency they can go to. You say you are sick of people coming on here “begging for money because they are poor”. Let me ask you, are you sick of people coming on here talking about the guy they are so desperatly in love with? I see more posts on here from young girls talking about how much they just have to be with this guy they met like 2 days ago and how much they love him and they have to be together. I don’t sit here and make fun of them and say I am sick of hearing about it. If I have advice for the perticular situation, I offer it. If not, then I don’t. I think it is sad when a website that is supposed to be offering help, has members who want to pick and choose who the people are that get helped!!!!

Daddy11 I don’t even know who you are, nor was I referring to you when I posted this, quite a while BEFORE you made your post. I have never sold my body for money, nor will I. I have enough money to support myself and my family. I don’t need to come on here asking people to invest in my inventions without detailing what they are. If you want to know who I was referring to when I wrote this, It was the people from other parts of the world who come on here giving us their life story and asking for money so they can get a visa into one of our countries. I have been suckered into one of these peoples traps before, feeling sorry for them, listening to how horrible their life was, I even sent a little cash because I thought it would help. Then, after all said and done, found out that this little bugger had made thousands of dollars by begging on sites like these, targeting vulerable people who thought they were doing a good deed. As it turns out, this individual had a more lavish lifestyle than mine and continued to begg on this particular website. So, in return, I posted this post that was directed at this person solely, not you, to let him know that I knew what his game was. So yes, I am fed up with people like that coming on here with their story only to decieve big hearted people. I didn’t expect such a big response to this post as it turns out there are mixed emotions on this issue. Daddy11, you are the joke. The last post you posted asked people to send you money to fund your idea and make all parties involved rich. When I asked you about it, you refused to answer my questions. This rang alarm bells and I decided that it sounded more like a SCAM than anything else. If your idea is soo good, why are you on here? Why don’t you approch people in that particular industry that can make your idea come true?? You don’t know me, don’t pretend to know me, you are lower thanme to even suggest the things you did. GET A LIFE MORON!!
