Computer Question:

I’ve downloaded a wma-mp3 converter, and upon using it, it says that it doesn’t work because my DirectX isn’t updated, now upon trying to download an updated version, it fails because it says that there’s some sort of error that occurs, and I must refer to the directXlog, which is filled with high-tech jargon.

So can anyone help me out here?

Music converters shouldn’t be using DirectX, as far as I know. (well, the first one that comes up when I google it does need DirectX.. so I may well be wrong) You should probably try a different converter program. There are several available for download for free. Some of the free programs will have difficulty running in windows vista or windows 7, especially the 64-bit versions.

The programs in the link below might work.

a program converter does nor asks you about Direct X unless this program has side programs that want to install themselves in the same time.
here is a list of programs with crack and enjoy.
be careful of viruses.

OK now to further my situation:

I’ve obtained the songs from my bro who uses a Zune, upon converting the music files it’s looking for the license/registration, which was in my bro’s laptop. So until I have them, it fails to convert.

So now what do I do?

You really need to be using the computer the music was licensed on. With that computer (assuming the licence is still on it) you can ‘unwrap’ the files, or perhaps more simply, burn them to a CD and re-rip them.
