Money help: DLP televisons are my question. - Help.com

DLP televisons are my question.

How Reliable? QVC has some Mitsubishi 65,70 and 83 inches / however, i hear what the comments are 50-50 good and bad… the bulbs constantly going out or not lasting more than 3-6 months…/ with the costs over $300 for a bulb plus here in the portland or market, where is there a mitsu dealer?

so, any advice on a purchase of DLP versus LCD? / LCD is more money for the size i know but might be worth it in the long run.

If ya can, go right for LED, gonna last a lot longer. I have a DLP tv in my home(62in) and I had to replace the bulb once so far. Cost me about 200 after shipping, however they have about 7000 hours of use, which to me is a good 5 years. Now granted that its a pain in the butt, its still not too bad a bargain. But if I had the extra money I would have easily gone for an LCD, or even more, and LED. The picture quality is insanely better on LED.

I have an LED tv. LCD´s are a bit thicker and not as bright/colorful. The (older) DLP´s that I have seen have comparatively bad picture quality and horrible viewing angle, They also are very large and heavy, and have a shorter life.

If you want large size and cheap price, go with DLP.

If you want high quality go with LCD or (preferably) LED.
