I need help with Wallace & Gromit & the Bumble Bees.

I’m downtown & when I click on the rain gutter to “shake” or “loosen” it, nothing happens. I’m stuck. Even turned it in & got a replacement game. It still doesn’t let me proceed to do anything downtown. How do I get past this?? HELP!! ASAP!!
