Question for those who have or have had diabetes or gestational diabetes.
My doctor told me today it looks like a pretty good chance I have gestational diabetes (just gotta do the blood test to confirm). I’m worried about the baby getting the right nutrition though. I also have a severe lactose intolerance since I got pregnant so I’m not allowed to eat ANY dairy, very limited fats and sugars, careful on fruit (because it naturally has sugar), told to be careful on red meat as I rarely ate it before so my body may have a hard time digesting it, and was told to lay off prenatals because they make me so sick. So… what foods should I be eating to make sure baby is getting the right nutrition? Only so many vitamins and nutrients come from whole grains and vegetables…
