Maybe the device was a Bluetooth headset, and they were speaking on Skype?

Nope, they were walking around in different cities, going about their usual business, and talking to each other, it was a very tiny thing in one of their ears.

I found an answer to your question here.
it sounds like a bluetooth device that is connected to your phone. you need a phone with bluetooth access and a bluetooth earpiece
Okay, thanks :) Do you know how much it would cost?
try reducing the volume and make less call especially during day time, avoid putting it in your pocket. may god protect u.
don’t buy any bluetooth device unless your phone already has bluetooth access, otherwise it will be useless. a bluetooth earpiece doesn’t work on its own. it needs an actual phone to connect to.
a bluetooth earpiece typically ranges from $15 to $60

I have a phone with bluetooth, but wouldn’t I have to make a call to talk? that wastes money, they didn’t have that on The Office. I want something free :( Not spending money on the call.

I don’t call during the daytime much, just at night. It’s the only time I can talk to my boyfriend

i’m not trying to trick you. -_-
the INVISIO® G5 (the earpiece that the link takes you to) isn’t even for sale any more. even if it were, it is ridiculously expensive. and even if you could afford it, you would need to connect it to a bluetooth phone. that’s how bluetooth works. it only works for short distances, so it needs to be connected to a device (like a cell phone) that has long-distance access.

Bluetooth communication devices?
I need help with finding the name of a product that uses Bluetooth as a means of communicating. I saw it once on The Office, Pam and Jim had these devices in their ears that enabled them to talk over a long distance, 24/7. I WANT THAT!! Since phones are said to ’cause cancer’, I talk a lot on the phone. I spoke to my uncle about it, he told me I’m screwed, but I don’t want cancer, or the one I talk to to be affected by it too!
Can anyone give me more information on this?
