I don’t know what I’m going to do.
I moved into this house a year and a half ago and I’ve had nothing but bad luck ever since. The contractor did a half assed job on the work they did before I moved in. In April of last year, the retina in my left eye tore so I missed a whole month of work and got hit with $3500 in medical bills. In July of 2010, I got 18 inches of water in the basement that destroyed the new appliances I put in only 5 months before. Then I had to replace the central a/c system when it died. Last month, the pinched nerve in my back flared up, so I had to miss more work. Add in a little stupidity on my own part and the cushion I had gone into this house with is totally gone. My charge card is due Thursday, but I don’t get paid until Friday. The other half of my auto insurance is due by the end of the month and I have no idea how I’m going to pay it.
I can’t get a second job because I’m on 24/7 on-call because I’m the only IT guy for my company. I don’t want to declare bankruptcy because you’re saddled with that stigma for 10 years. I don’t want lose my house. I can’t lose my car because I’ll lose my job then. If I could just do something about my charge bills, I’d be okay.
I’m so screwed at this point. I’m not much of a believer in supernatural stuff, but I’m beginning to wonder if the previous owners of this house put a curse on it when they were foreclosed on. All I know is, I feel like crying.
