WOMEN: Which do you prefer on men:
And MEN: Which do you prefer:
- clean shaven
- a full beard
- a goatee
- stubble
- only a moustache
- other
I’ve been wondering what the most popular look is and how the different genders perceive facial hair.
Feel free to explain why you chose the option you did. Thanks for the votes and replies!

That’s fair enough. So, is your choice specific to him or do you generally prefer guys that have stubble as opposed to one of the others? Or would you say it depends from person to person?

it varies from person to person. some people dont suit it
Gee, I guess to get stubble you have to shave and then not been seen for a day or two, until you have the proper stubble. How unnatural, how contrived … Also, it must get lonely while you’re waiting for the stubble to appear. Or, I just maybe men trim their beards with a buzzer? Set on ultra-low?

they trim it lol.
ooh hard decision. i think a little stubble looks great, but a clean-shaven guy is so much nicer to kiss ;)

Yea, we trim. :D … Imagine, millions of guys walking around in the shadows so that women can’t see their face till the next day. All for the perfect stubble look, lol

my guy gets stubble from a day of not shaving, so it’s a pretty easy look. and in the mean time i keep him around because like i said, clean-shaven faces are so awesome to kiss. ;)
and to the OP, it depends on the face, really.

Well, anything for that perfect look, I thought …

Yea, I’d presumed as much. Actually, I just read this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/eart…
Hence, the interest and post.
Funny enough the votes seem to be reflecting the research in the article.
I prefer clean-shaven. After 2-3 days of not shaving it feels itchy and I feel slovenly.
haha yeah, seems like they’re right. george clooney, brad pitt, robert downey jr… girls love the stubble look.
True, it can be a good look (of course, anything would look good on GEORGE), plus that roughness can be fun. :)

See, a lot of people have told me that it feels itchy, but personally I’ve never had that problem … I mean I’ve grown a beard before (it was exam time, ok, lol) but it wasn’t itchy, definitly starts feeling untidy if you don’t trim it but it didn’t feel itchy for me.
Meh, I guess it depends from person to person … or maybe, some aren’t used to it while others are?

Fun? O_o … Clarify, please. lol
And how about goatees? You know, Johnny Depp style … no?
A goatee looks silly on Johnny Depp. I like him, but I think he’s gotten stuck.
I think, for a person starting with a clean-shaven face, once the facial hair grows past a certain point it doesn’t seem to itch anymore. I have experimented with it a couple of times. I call it the itching stage. Perhaps the itching stage doesn’t affect everyone. Or perhaps after an indefinite number of times letting facial hair grow back the itchiness is no longer a problem.
Just as long as he’s nice to me, I don’t care.
But looking at my history with me it’s been with moustashes
and they’ve all been baffoons
better go clean shaven next time LOL
