Hoax or real I tend to feel that it is a conclusion that has been come to without looking at the evidence.

People have been warning about this global warming thing since the 70s. I can’t think of any reason why anyone would “make it up.” But I can think of some reasons that people would deny it: Because they hate those who are doing the warning (the … gasp … ENVIRONMENTALISTS). Because maybe they’re heavily investing in OIL or COAL. Because they hate scientists (unGODly, they think) or “intellectuals” (damned elitists), etc.

Yes, the Earth changes. People have been talking about changes they think are caused by mankind for “a while.” Nobody has been listening. Ditto with the Ozone Hole (gee, we’ve forgotten all about that lately!). Recently, people have been talking about dangers of genetically engineered foods. The same group doesn’t listen to this either. Same with nuclear power: “Oh no, that’s not dangerous, we have the latest technology.”
