An intense feeling of deep affection

what do you think, how would you define love ?

It’s… the nourishing action of the heart. So, first the heart loves itself (feeds itself oxygen), then the rest of the body and mind, then other people’s bodies and minds. A pregnant mother will love her developing child at the same time as the rest of herself.

There are some other definitions also, if that doesn’t seem relevant.

This question comes up here about once every week …

I tend to have that feeling for someone I don’t know but not someone I actually know.. how odd..

love is something you can’t touch you can see it in other people, you can feel it but sometimes people take their love away and you hurt because of it. I love my husband with one kind of love that no one understands and my children with another kind of love and grandchildren with still another kind I can’t tell you the joy my grandchildren give me it is a happyiness that makes my world wonderful.
My love for my husband makes my life worth living without it nothing does.

When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the desire to mate every second of the day. It is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every part of your body. No… don’t blush. I am telling you some truths. For that is just being in love; which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over, when being in love has burned away…

Love is the most amazingg feeling ever! Keep the LOVE strong:) and never ever let those memories fade!

I think it means a different meaning of love.

Like I just saw a wikipedia article that says,
“Dayal” means “the compassionate one”.

That’s a major type of “love” like the Buddhists have a loving-kindness meditation, it’s about compassion or goodwill.

The one that when you find them you feel like you have always known them.
They feel like a part of you that you did not know was missing till you found them. The one that on meeting you realize you have been waiting. You can love others, but they are much more.
someone you can not live without. someone who makes you feel complete. not necessarily romantic, it could be a really good friend or a lover, but it is someone who give you a reason to wake up in the morning.
it starts with love and grows and grows and becomes a unity of spirit. the two spirits become one and last forever. eternally. if the souls are separated as in death, one soul alone is incomplete, it longs for it’s other soul, with which it can be whole again.
when they are reunited there is everlasting joy for both.

Someone who completes you..The other half of yourself…

Love is the most powerful emotion possible. Love for self causes a lot of selfishness, pride, etc. which can be very harmful. And love for others is just as potent ^^ But causes very different things. So basically, love is what the feeling of the emotion people feel towards themselves but more purified and aimed at others. jok3r beat me to a better explanation, so I thought I’d give this one ^^

Love is all there really is. Everything else is a painful illusion.
