I have a problem I would like some advice on.

I am a young father of a 2 year old girl and I keep having serious arguments with the mother over seeing her and spending time on my own with her.
My ex partner and i have not been together for over 30 months now but I feel she is very livid still about the way we split,We argue constantly over the smallest of things and this makes it very difficult for me to enjoy spending time with my daughter as it feels as though its a supervised visit.
I have never done anything to make her think im a bad dad or given her any reason to think i would not be capable of looking after my her .
I would be interested to speak to anyone who has had similar problems or anyone that may be able to help.

thanks

If the split was your doing(no details, not placing blame).Try apologizing
and refuse to engage in arguments.Calmly explain that although your not together, that at least your not a deadbeat dad.Try to couch most statements as “I feel that…(whatever)”.That way Hopefully, she’ll see your perceptions of the situation.Try to avoid statements like “you…(do/say) this or that)—-placing the blame statements.Don’t play the blame game—it only makes things worse. You may have to apoligize repeat-
edly (she may very well be that hurt (livid because she’s hurt). You may have to see a family counselor if all else fails.Failing even that you may need a lawyer.Fathers have rights too.
Take a cue from Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, they split VERY amicably..
…They ALWAYS put the needs of their kids FIRST.
