Is it rude to say good luck to a stranger going to the cemetery?
I have been working n a shop for a few weeks and an older woman came in buying something to leave at her mother in law’s grave who had passed a year ago. She said she hadn’t been able to go because she lives in Boston but she was originally from here. We chatted a bit. I was picking out decorations and we picked out colors and she talked about her color preferences and how she didn’t want pink since she wasn’t a girly girl. She said she had brown hair just like me. We were just chatting. So when she was leaving I was saying goodbye and for some reason I said “good luck” and I just froze being like “…….” and hoping she hadn’t heard it. But she said good luck to you too. I am 18 and haven’t dealt with death except my grandma. I feel horrible because it was such a dumb thing to say
