first time help: This is a little gross.. - Help.com

This is a little gross..

but lately, i’ve been having constant “loose bowels.” Not quite diarrhea as it isn’t watery or green, but its not formed in a “log” the way it should be. It’s more like the consistency of coffee grounds.

My diet, I think, is very healthy and I get enough sleep :( What could be the problem? I hardly ever get any exercise, I’m at home all day (housewife) so could this be the issue?

This is the first time in my life I have had this problem constantly (for maybe 3 weeks??)

Any suggestions?

Any unusual bowel movements should always be reported to your doctor.

Since what you describe could be indicative of a problem, I think you would be wise to make an appointment.

“coffee ground” stools are sometimes indicative of bleeding so should be investigated as soon as possible.

Agree, check with a doctor. Probably nothing to worry about, just something small has changed in your diet that your stomach doesn’t like.
