I’m starting my first year of college this fall.
My major is biology in the pre-professional program. I hope to become an optometrist one day…I think. I scored a 21 on the math part of the ACT causing me to have to take two math classes before I can even take the one required for my major my freshman year. I’m also trying to study for the chemistry placement test that I have to take tomorrow at orientation, and if I don’t pass that I will be playing catch up in chemistry as well. Here’s the thing, I’ve never enjoyed math or science. I really loved Biology and Earth Science, but that’s it. English has always been my calling, I scored a 32 on the English part of the ACT and I’ve always excelled at it. I know it shouldn’t be, but the money does play a huge factor. I don’t know if I’m cut out for the major I’ve selected and its putting enormous stress on me, and I’m not even in college yet! ..Help!!
