Do you still buy CDs or just download from iTunes?

So many download from iTunes, Amazon, and other services on the web. I personally prefer to buy CDs because they are actual objects you can collect and have as your own. I like having booklets so I can read liner notes. I also think that CD quality is better than mp3. Would you agree? I downloaded a whole album off iTunes just for the bonus tracks you couldn’t get in the store. I also like to slide a CD in my CD player, lay back on my bed, and relax while listening to the real CD. Now that I’ve gotten back into buying CDs (bought two Green Day CDs, Dookie and American Idiot this past weekend), I was thinking about replacing all my iTunes downloads with CD versions. Would you do this?

Thanks for your answers everyone.

Cheers!

Well you can pick them up cheaper now that everyone got rid of them in second hand shops…

I don’t really buy CDs because I don’t listen to a whole lot of modern music, and I’ve got a bunch of older stuff on vinyl (they sound better than CDs, imo). I mostly listen to modern stuff on my computer, but I do have some on CDs, like AC/DC’s Black Ice, Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy Soundtrack, and a Dream Theater’s Greatest Hits CD.

I wish I still had tapes. My parents probably have some, but mine are long gone :(

CD’s in 95% of cases will have better sound quality. That being said, I don’t usually like everything by an artist so I will buy track to track online. Amazon and Zune have had higher bitrates than iTunes in the past so those are where I get most of my songs from.
