no, you cut a small branch off one fruit tree, slice into the other fruit tree and place in the branch. this should work out with a bit of luck. This is how my Spanish neighbours cross pollenated our trees.

You have to find the start and stop codons for the individual expressed gene that you want in your end result, snip it from within the DNA of your donor fruit, and reattach it to the DNA sequence of the host fruit in a part of the sequence where it won’t disturb the genetic expression of the host. Your resulting phenotype will contain the properties which the particular snippet of the donors DNA encode for. Its often done using bactera, because bacteria are able to lyze certain parts of DNA in order to take on new beneficial code sequences from other bacteria which have evolved due to natural mutations

This simply grafts the two plants together. For instance if you grafted a pear tree to an apple tree you’d just get one plant that produced two different types of fruit… if there were additional aapple and pear trees in the vacinity to perform cross polination

In order to cross bread fruit trees, they have to be of close family type (compare leaves)take a small (2 inch length little branch from the donor tree before it blossom so you would have a better chance…then prepare the reciepient tree by choosing a new half inch width branch, cut it around 8 inches from top, then slice the other remaining part and insert the donor branch in the sliced opening, then wrap the outside with electric tape to cut off the air and to keep the donor twig in place so it does not dry .good luck.
