Does anyone know a good way to get the smell of vomit out of a mattress?

The stomach flu hit hard at our house, and I can’t stand the smell!

Try pinesol and then go to home depot and get some plastic that you use to keep moisture out and put the plastic on the mattress

Buy a new mattress, otherwise, you are gonna have vomit stains on that mattress for years and years to come.

yomomma12, We don’t drink alcohol, and yes I do clean. If you know anything about cleaning yourself then you would know that some smells and stains are hard to get out. If you had read my actual question you would have noticed that I stated that the stomach flu hit hard at my house. You know, you should only answer a question if you have something legitimate, or helpful to say.

ok this is what you got to do…. get some detturgent like to clean your colose then spray it down with water and clean out as much as you can, ok let that dry. now if the smell has been in there for a wile it might smell more if you put water on it but you need to nutralise the smell so after all the cleaner and water dryes get some fubreez (yea i cant spell, i know) and spray it down but the whole bed this its moist with fubreez, then smush it so the fubreez gos in to the mattress then let it dry, when it drys spray it down one more time with fubreez and let it dry and then it shouldent smell any more….

I just tried lemon pinesol and then hauled the mattress out on my porch to freshen. Hope that does it! My mom said I could also try what you suggested. So if the pinesol and fresh air doesn’t help I’ll try the vinegar, baking soda, etc.
