How do I totally remove the internet from my computer?

I tried just pressing delete on the icon for internet explorer and then it just came from back. I also tired to delete it in the “add/remove programs from your computer area” but it wasn’t listed there. What do I do? help please

Marconius is correct. If unplug your computer from the cable or telephone wall plug, there is no way you can connect to the Internet. It’s full proof and easier to do than trying to delete the Microsoft Internet Explorer software.

Disable the wireless card in your Device Manager, in that case.

Also, play nice mathews — the question is two part and not clear. “Disabling the internet” is different than “removing IE from the desktop”

Also, traveler, deleting InternetExplorer would not disable the internet on your machine. In fact, IE is so tied into the Microsoft OS that you simply can not remove it in any meaningful way. Disabling your connection to the internet — either via disabling onboard hardware or removing physical connections, is the only way to go.

Stop simply creating new posts — I won’t get notices for them and it’s really spammy.

To answer the question about a more parmanent way to disable wireless — that depends. If they wireless is part of the system’s mother board you could possibly disable it via the system BIOS. If the wireless is is installed as a wireless PCI card, you could take it out of the machine.

What’s up with the internet paranoia, btw?
