How do I totally remove the internet from my computer?

I tried just pressing delete on the icon for internet explorer and then it just came from back. I also tired to delete it in the “add/remove programs from your computer area” but it wasn’t listed there. What do I do? help please. Sorry to repeat this, but I wanted to add that it’s wireless and a laptop. Please put all responses here, as apposed to the other post. thanks.
