Hmm, do you think it would be wrong to call back the HR person and ask if it’s going to be an interview lol? This will be my first big interview so I’m not sure if I should wear a suit or just a shirt and tie heh

Wear the suit, but they are leaving their options open. If they like you and have a position, its a preliminary interview. If there is no position open, they might be trying to make a good impression on you so you will check back later when they do have a position open. Or maybe they have a position open but are not sure whether they want to invite you in for an interview or not.
