yes - courage is the word for today… be brave, be bold, love is bold… it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved. True love will not care if the love is returned. It is more important that your beloved knows of your love than any humiliation or sorrow that you may experience by telling. Have faith in your friendship that he will not be too immature and handle your truth poorly. and even if he does, know you have done the loving thing. Hiding this will only lead to future grief and you will be a hypocrit. Do not fear rejection, rejection will only make you stronger. And you will learn to love unselfishly. But then again, there is always the chance he may return you feelings… now maybe, someday even more likely. Especially if he sees great honor in you along with your love :)

make the move, you will not regret it. its important that you get it off your chest because its horrifically hard to deal with hiding it out of fear.

It is better to tell the friend how you feel, otherwise it could just lead to some akward moments between the two of you. He could just be really dense or shy and that is why he has not said anything. Tell him and you will feel relieved, it might be a bit slow to get it out but state very clearly that you really like him and want more.

perhaps you need to think about it, if you confess your love and your friend is not interested it would become awkward between you and you might become heartbroken and your relationship would not be the way it is today. So you may need to find an alternative to asking directly. :)
