So I am currently writing the first draft of my college application essay…
I’m going the descriptive “your choice of topic route” as per my (AP Lit teacher’s instructions when she created the deadline for this draft), writing about one time when my father took me on an Astronomy outing in the mountains.
Does anyone with experience writing setting-based essays have any tips, or just general advice on college essays that I should know? Help with writing style would be especially useful (not saying you should invent my style for me, just things like “keep your sentences succinct and punchy”). Methods of indirectly working in my character traits? Thanks a ton :)
