start help: Recently, everything I eat tastes like freshly mowed grass. - Help.com

Recently, everything I eat tastes like freshly mowed grass.

A sandwich will start out tasting normally, but end up with a funny grass after-taste. Same goes for tea, bread, pasta, meat, vegetables and fruit, everything.

Does anyone know what would cause this?

Hmm.. sounds like there is something wrong with your taste buds.
How is it that you know what freshly mowed grass tastes like?

I love the smell of freshly cut grass :)
I would love it if it tasted how it smelt but I can’t imagine it would and I have never eaten any to know either =/

I can’t think of anything that would cause that, I know there is some kind of medical condition that causes things to taste metallic or of iron, maybe look that one up and see if it is similar.

I’ve looked online and couldn’t find anything.

Maybe I was looking in the wrong place?

Lol I’ve never eaten grass either! It takes like the smell of grass, dirt, and plants when they’ve gotten so wet that they start rotting.

Once I taste it, I have to stop eating because it makes me gag. I’ve given my food to other people but they can’t taste it.

It would make me gag too.

It’s not so much that you’re looking in the wrong place as nobody has any logical explanations for why you’re experiencing this problem.

It’s beyond me why everything you eat tastes like freshly mowed grass. Somebody else may know, however.

“Honey… please pass that plate of fresh grass. I feel like a grazing cow tonight.”

At least it’s fresh.
