Application Help!

Hello all,
I am applying to be a teaching assistant (TA) at my college and I need some suggestions and help with answers to some of the questions on the application.
1) What advice would you give to freshmen to help then become successful students?
2)Describe three study strategies that helped you perform well in your courses.

Does anyone have any suggestions for help with these questions? Anything would be appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance!!

Possible answers to
1. Appreciate that we offer a support system and if you need we are help and failing that, we will endeavour to put in in touch with that help. (check out their student support services because they may ask you to elaborate at the interview).
2. Working out a timetable with realistic study goals and putting in it rest periods, ensuring I kept up with sports for my fitness and piano lessons for my creative expression.

This stuff should really impress them. Hope it helps. If I come up with any more, I’ll post. Hope you get it.

Glad I’m helping but I hope you get the drift and understand it’s pretty late in the UK and I’m falling asleep.

However with
1. make sure you mention mental/pyschological welfare and medical. They may have a counselling service, health screening etc. Check that out.
2. Focus on realstic study goals and elaborate it e.g.so that you do not overstretch yourself and become exhausted and lose enthusiam and then get behind, you could tell them you learnt that through experience.
You must have down time where you do your sports and fitness, your creative stuff and going out with people. Remember, socialise, tell them to sociiase and look into the many activitiies for sociliasing that exists such as the student bar, clubs, dances, discos etc. Spend time studying the university’s website so you know how good it is. Tell them at this university we have a great tennis courts, if you’re into sports etc. Really impress them by saying, ‘We have something for everyone’. This job could be a stepping stone to a better career in university administration which pays pretty good so use your time to really learn about it and be able to back up everything you say with examples at the interview. Most people will be writing standard stuff, stand out from the crowd!
