Why is it that guys say they love you and want you or what not, but after they make you seem like you are important, and hold on to you, they say oh, well I just want to be friends, whats up with that?! I told him i will always love him and that i can’t just stand by and not be able to do anything. i can’t take it, i will go insane if i stand by and take it. i don’t get why it is so difficult to get it threw his head i love him so much, i cant tell if he cares or just puts an act on.

why is the guy acting the way he is then?
I think a lot of guys are scared of commitment and once they get involved with someone, they get cold feet when it starts to get serious.
Alternatively, maybe he’s just not that into you any more!
Unfortunately they often don’t just say what they think!
You have to ask him. If you believe any of us about why he does things it will just damage the relationship because communication and trust are key to relationships.

A lot of guys will tell you anything to get in your pants and then move on. In fact most guys in high school would fit into that category. And if they tell you they love you and can’t get in your pants suddenly they just want to be friends…
feelings change…he wants to be friends because something made him think differently than he did when he first said that to you. Saying he just wants to be friends can mean he feels the NEED to pump the brakes on the seriousness of the relationship because it can be overwhelming to deal with after reality sets in. This does not mean he does not love you anymore at all. In fact, lets be friends says im not letting you go completely, i just need to slooooow down. The majority of girls are looking for ‘the ONE’. The majority of guys are trying to put off finding ‘the one’
You shouldnt sit there and wait…if you love him, be his friend as much as you can deal with it (ya it sucks). If you dont date other people because you LOVE him and you are gonna wait for him, do NOT blame him the pain it causes you to see him only treat you like a friend and if he dates someone else. The best thing to do in that situation is the simple phrase ‘let go..if it comes back, its yours’ and you wont drive yourself crazy waiting and wondering…plus the sooner you let go, the sooner it will come back if its true…guys tend to chase what they cant have. IF you let go, agree to be friends, he may see that and it may make him not want to just be friends and actually want something more from you..If he thinks you are always going to be there he will take comfort it that and act accordingly.. If he doesnt go that route, and doesnt come back, you will have not wasted anytime…its sucks to be in your situation, there is no easy answer…keep your head up!! and God Bless!!

They think its pretty heavy duty.

All I do is go to work and play on the computer or watch TV and mow the lawn. Fish, hunt, pay all the bills. Every guy I know does the same… of course we are old men and the world used to work that way before women took all the jobs and still wanted a man to support them.
