In Canada, discrimination is illegal based on the Chater of Rights.

But is it illegal in the USA? and what charter or act states that?

Im Canadian and I have no idea how to find the act that forbids discrimination in US laws.

Canada’s Charter of Rights is similar to the US Bill of Rights and the civil rights laws enacted in the mid-1960s and onwards.

Unfortunately, neither country fully abides by these documents.

Discrimination is illegal in the developed countries on Earth, the US being one of them. Some developing countries and religiously/ideologically obscessed countries lack such laws though.

Because the world is not perfect and it will never be so.
As long as there are laws there will be people who break it and some percentage of them will evade punishment. It has always been this way.

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It is hard to prove why someone hires or fires another person. How can you say what motivates people? There aren’t any male Playboy centerfolds… is that discrimination?

Both countries–the USA and Canada–look the other way when age discrimination is being practiced. In Canada, the employment websites for a host of companies brazenly ask for the applicant’s age–and the Ministry of Labour in Canada couldn’t care less.

I don’t even know if Playgirl is still published . . . but if it is, I’m gonna be a centerfold or bust! ;-)

Let’s see . . . she’s 12 years younger.

Thankfully, her attitudes are liberal enough that she doesn’t mind my trying out for a centerfold.

The way magazines are shrinking, they may have to combine ‘em . . . maybe have something like “Field and Playboy.” Just as long as DEP doesn’t pose! ;-)
