I have mild schizophrenia and I realized how cool it

is to have an excuse not to work, so I decided to act as if I heard many more voices and was experiencing great delusions. I though I was smart having people believe I was incapable of work and that they had to provide for me from their own salaries. But now the doctor wants me committed in an institution and he has already given me heavy antipsychotic drugs that make me feel very bad. I don’t want to take these drugs. I can’t tell people I’ve been faking. What do I do?

Is it possible that your doctor knows this, and that is why he is having you committed?

I don’t think I my doctor knows. He’s just very concerned about me and wants what’s best for the patient.

Lol, you get what you deserve.
Now you’ve got a choice - either confess that you have been faking ot go on with the treatment plan. Also chances are that docs won’t believe you that you’re faking and would put your into an institution anyway. Also chances are, if you claimed any benefit by using your false exaggerated disability, you may be facing fraud charges in court.

Yeah you screwed up and unless you want to be wearing a straight jacket in a rubber room with a head full of Thorazine you have to come clean. You will probably lose your job and become homeless… every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

What’s the word… kismet? Enjoy being institutionalized the whole rest of your life.

For heaven’s sake is this real? Read the classic article “On being sane in insane places”.

If you want to continue lying you’d best say they have stopped talking to you. Not working isn’t cool its a waste of your life

If I say there are no more voices, the doctor is only going to think I’m faking because I don’t want medication and hospital. My only way out is being honest. I hope he believes me, because I’m quite a good actor. Always was in all the school plays.

how will he know you are being honest. “I was lying” might also be seen as a lie
