Does anyone know how to change the rear brakes on a 1996 Ford Explorer?

I’m trying to push the inside plate back to release the pressure, but my dad thinks that we don’t have to bleed her before doing that. I’m I wrong? What am I doing wrong?

use a c-clamp to depress the clinder u don’t have to bleed the lines
