If you become an organ donor…

What organs can they use? I am opting for only specific organs. For example i do not wish to donate my lungs (I wouldnt want some smoker to recieve them for their own stupid decision).

Anyways, a list would be nice. XD I dunno which ones they can use (please dont say all of them as i know that but i dunno the names of all of them haha)

They can take whatever you put down, people need a heck of a lot of different things.

everyhting.

they can take parts of your eyes, skin, bone, heart, lungs, pancreas, gall bladder, liver, kidneys, possibly intestines but im not 100%

pretty much everything in your body is donatable.

not blood after you die though, at least i dont think so… it coagulates and stuff.

oh and you cant donate organs if the cause of death was organ faliure unless they know immediately what it was. when my sister passed away we opted for her to be a donor, she always said she would want to, but since they didn’t know the cause of death they couldnt risk giving someone faulty organs.

they can use many parts of you in they are in good condition and you’d have no right to dictate what type of person they gave it to so that really shouldn’t matter.

Actually… I do have a right to. Where i live if i die and someone related to me needs an organ, the relation automaticially comes first. Plus i know for a fact that people who drink excessively and such are disqualified from transplants etc. BUT I have the right to decide which organs can be donated, so thats what im doing.

So… Please dont start giving me a “you have no right” speach. I dont think you intend to push a button, but ya sorta did lol.

Glad I helped. I want to be a donor too, the only organ I wouldn’t be able to give us my faulty heart… But there’s plenty left on me to help others live a fuller life :)
