start help: I am about to start working as a pet therapist. - Help.com

I am about to start working as a pet therapist.

I am really excited except for the fact that I will be working with a bunny. Of course I am excited but I am afraid that the fact that the bunny has little to no controls of his bowls might risk me my job. They kind of do their “business” where ever they see fit they don’t have much of a choice!
So I was going to make the bunny wear a diaper. Yet I know a lot of people in nursing homes wear diapers. I don’t want to seem like I am making fun of them or anything but I don’t want the bunny to be loose on the patients. I don’ t find any guidelines for this so what should I do?

LOL. So your first job as the Bunny’s therapist is to help it understand the distress uncontrolled bowel movements cause. Try to refixate the bunny to the anal retentive stage of development. You need to be a strict freudian here. No diapers just years on a couch. :)

What are you going to do? Take the bunny to nursing homes for people to play with? I would accidentally “lose” the bunny and take a small dog around. They are much smarter and friendlier and can control their bowel movements. Shih Tzus are beautiful and docile. If you have ever watched “The Wizard of Oz” it is a Yorkshire Terrier and they are wonderful dogs and about the size of a rabbit.

Bunny.
They need a bunny.
This isn’t supposed to be funny. A lot of people there grew up with pet bunnies. Should he wear a diaper or not?

Yes diaper him up if it will help, or put him in a mobile box or bunny pen with a floor you can clean and put him in the middle of the room so people can pet him. By the way I am sure you know that unless regularly petted and handled bunny’s bite. That could be more of an issue.

The diaper might actually be a cute idea, but keeping it in a pen seems more logical.
