I am Abraham

Blessed and cursed to live in this world
Many people have crossed my path,
Many people who have pushed me.
They say, “the result of education is Tolerance,”
With my education, I can tolerate a lot.
Regardless of how far they push me I must stay strong,
A wise person said, “the Devil can only trouble you, if You let him.”
So I must stand my ground
Abraham was once the father of all Hebrews,
Abraham was one of the greatest presidents.
Knowing this, I have my work cut out for me,
For I have not yet fulfilled my duties to claim the name ‘Abraham’
I must be addressed to other names, ‘Abe’ and ‘Red’
I have not found my place in the world and make a name for myself.
So I will carry the name Abraham, to signify the great ones and to show how hard I have to work
Many have failed to try to live up to this title,
I have been chosen, yet I am slipping,
I do not wish to fail…
But the road is hard to travel on,
I have seen those who have failed
And their cold hands, try to pull me in.
I am cursed to travel this road,
But I am blessed with this name that predicts a place among great ones.
I am Abraham
And I will not Fail.

I was feeling a little unmotivated lately, so I tend to look back at this from time to time to remind myself of what I’m here for, and for what lies ahead, so I’ve decided to share this with you guys here. Enjoy!
