Wine is Red

Stained was his coat
Some colour you can’t quite place
Almost burgandy red..
But pale was his face

The gust of wind brought him to your knees
Spilled was the wine
Smashed but set free
A simple glint of light came from behind

Bound and tied
His voice shaking
The sword never lied
Wings of love quaking

“Cheers” he said
Wine is red
