How do I beat the family heirloom quest in Skyrim?

All of the online walkthroughs say you find the iron dagger behind a master vampire, and to start the quest you have to talk to… Idk not the guy I talked to to start the quest. I talked to Skjor to start the quest and he told me to find the iron dagger in blizzard rest somewhere. I don’t know where to find the dagger and I am too weak to kill a giant. And I am not good at picking locks if it is in a chest. HELP ME OR I CAN’T CONTINUE THE GAME!

There are dozens of quest that you can get early but can’t complete till at least level 20 because of the monster difficulty level. The game was designed this way, and there isn’t a limit on the number of quests you can have at once, so gather many.
