Job Brainstorming
My financial situation sucks. But sadly I really like my job. I’m a karate instructor at the moment. And even though kids are not my favorite thing, it’s a pretty fun job. I’m looking into a personal trainer’s certification, but it’s a weird combination of time consuming and expensive, and I’m not making end’s meat as it is. I need a new or another job but I’m trying to find something tolerable that I’m not going to be stuck in. Frankly I’m terrified of being stuck in a dead end job I hate.
I was a security guard for a while, but it made me hate my life. I’ve considered bouncer work but I’m a little hostile for that. There are other things in life I enjoy, but I can’t sit still for hours on end. Paperwork and the various white collar jobs around which it is centered has bad effects on me. I can do it for a while, but before long I’d rather do anything else.
I’ve dropped out of college a few times so certain roads are closed to me presently. I just need a little help considering options. I feel a bit like I’m running in circles here.
I’ve even given some thought to the professional fighting circuit but frankly I’m a traditional martial artist, self defense stuff, weapons training, very middle of road fighter. Better than most, can’t hold a candle to many. I’d make a few bucks and likely get very busted up in the process. Which strictly speaking isn’t a huge issue, but I’m a bit concerned the medical bills would quickly outpace the fiscal benefits.
I’m not sure what else to look into. I’m a little depressed presently which I’m sure is causing adding to my mental block. So here I am. Any help besides, “Suck it up and get a job. It doesn’t matter if you hate it” would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
