Is it true that grapefruit juice increases effects of diazepam?

I’ve had a “craving” for a grapefruit juice and drank about 300ml. About 15mins earlier I took 5mg of diazepam. Then I realized that the leaflet I read a while ago actually said to avoid that juice.
Could the juice really increase its effects?

Eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice may increase the amount of benzodiazapines in your bloodstream and the side effects. True… remind me to add that to the grocery list. Salty Dog anyone?

Yes, it apparently interferes with the metabolism of the drug in the intestines which lead to increased drug level in the blood. Watch out for any unusual symptoms.
