I live in an efficiency with big furniture, queen size

bed, desk, 8 box like storage for records, 4 tall and slender 10 shelving unit filled with dvds, tall 8 shelved bookshelf, and a nightstand…not to mention the tv stand that has to be in one spot…the middle of the room. I need help rearranging.. I have so much stuff(yes I even got rid of a ton of stuff)that is piling up on the bottom of my bookshelf, a closet that has stacks of bins. Help! How can I keep all the furniture but make it look not so cluttered? I want to get a chair or stools for the bar, was thinking about maybe putting shelving on the wall, but am afraid that might make it look like our apartment is completely covered with dvds, albums, and books. Also, what can I do about the closet???

If you get a flatscreen and hang it on a wall that would free up space.

Wall-mounted shelving inside the closet might help. Instead of just storing bins, cover them with beautiful cloths and use them as tables and shelves.

A few wall shelves would be ok, but don’t cover the walls with them.

Room dividers might help - you can confine the shelves to one part of the room and divide it off to limit visual impact. Strategic use of mirrors and light and dark colors can create an open feeling.

Bar stools that fold or store under the bar when not in use would be practical.

If you put your bed on a platform, which could maybe be made if wood you can put furniture and storage under it, like bureaus and shelves.
