Wrong help: Is it alright to leave my foot wrapped for a long period of time? - Help.com

Is it alright to leave my foot wrapped for a long period of time?

I am a runner (sprints) and I sprained my foot. I have to tough it out, and I wrapped it once I understood what was wrong. Is it alright for me to leave it in the ACE bandage for a long period of time, i.e. All day? Or should I only wrap it when it’s necessary, when I have to run? I don’t remember if it’s alright.

So long as its staying dry you should be able to leave most dressings on indefinitely (nearly a week). But as soon as you get moisture (i.e. sweat) in it you should change it when possible as moisture increases the chances of infections and bacteria and shiz like that.
