Using VLC MEDIA PLAYER i want to upload videos to my

computer, from my handycam, i can view the videos but cant figure out how to save to computer so i can use in imovie….HELP

Does your handycam have a USB connection? If so, simply connect to the computer/laptop and wait for the autoplay screen to pop up. If it doesn’t, check out Computer. To clarify, this should be found in the folders section.
There you should find under “Removable devices” your device. Click on the device and move it to a location on the computer. For example, cut and paste to My Documents or Documents depending which system you’re using.

If yours is imovie 11, it will import easily Sony HDR-CX11, HDRCX12, HDR-SR1 and HDR-SR7 cameras.

if not, you may fail to import to imovie

then the solution will be in the following step by step guide
