Yup, the news media and it’s irresponsible and sensationalistic ‘journalism’.
They are often killed by police and other authorities after attacking innocent people.
Put your gloves on Willy. The first round was scored in my favor…

And later, after the furor dies down, it’s found out that it wasn’t a pit after all. Of course, that doesn’t stop the pantywaists in guvment from passing laws requiring euthanization of pits at the behest of a fearful and well manipulated public bleating for ‘protection’. These are the same nervous nellies that prefer to live in a police state which passes ever more draconian laws in order to ’save’ the populace.
Your gloves are more like mittens, oh well strung puppet of of the ‘media misinformation machine’.
There’s no such thing as a pit bull. How do you identify one? If it looks like a cow and moos…
Agree with Willy and Doc - poor things have been persecuted by the media. Ignorant people. Our government has just passed a law banning pit bulls and so pet owners have to have them put down. It’s so sad and really a form of racism.
There are lists of known health problems for all pure breeds, if you find a website that lists dog breeds you should find it. If they are not pure and are a cross, you will need to think about what it’s crossed with. Also, if you buy from a breeder health problems are minimized - heaps cheaper in the long run. Buying from pet shops and puppy farms is a huge no-no.

Well, seeing as you admit to uncertainty, sources must then be considered suspect too.. seeing as you’d have to derive your ‘facts’ from.. somewhere. If it looks like a cow and moos, it ain’t a ‘pitbull’ but, if one were to believe the news, if it looks like a dog and bites.. it’s gotta be a ‘pitbull’.
One, surprisingly, valid point you DID bring up is that ‘Pitbull’ is a rather vague classification into which any number of breeds can be made to fit.
Finally we agree on something! If it looks like a dog and bites… ha ha ha.

Well, I happen NOT to blindly believe the pap that’s put forward as ‘news’, which is why I posted “if one were to believe the news”; a rather critical point there. It rather looks like you, however, have stated your position and, in the face of that, how can one expect you to accept mere facts when they contradict such a belief?
I’m so sick of pasting facts and you claiming them to be made up by the anti-pitbul press I give up. And I thought the media only hated Republicans.

K.O.!! ..and I did post a link to an investigation of 2009 ,’Pitbul’ caused, human deaths which found that the majority of deaths claimed by the press to be due to pits were anything but. Well, haters gotta hate, and ‘Pitbulls’ are a cause celeb amongst such and those wishing to draw conclusions from actual evidence and not mere hearsay.
That is not to say, however, that the debate is sharply polarized between ‘2 camps’, as it might seem from our various posts; more like a number of ‘camps’, as it were.. with each having valid points.
Regarding the media, it hates whomever/whatever it can derive money from hating, and can switch sides near instantaneously were it deemed expedient.
My sister has a staffy, who is just gorgeous and affectionate and a big sook truth be told, and when she is walking him, people cross the street to avoid them. Because he kinda looks like a pit bull. It’s discrimination - pure and simple.
This article really upset me:
